Evaluations for the 2023-2024 Seasons
The Scituate Soccer Club (SSC) hires a group to evaluate players as a part of the team placement process. These evaluations include various drills and scrimmages to allow evaluators to assess players’ skill in various aspects of play. This input as well as SSC coach input determines player placement fro Fall 2023-Spring 2024.
In-Person Evaluations-June 12 and 14
Evaluations for travel soccer (grades 5-8) will be held on Monday, June 12 for rising 5th and 6th graders and Wednesday, June 14 for rising 7th and 8th graders.
Rising 5th and 6th Graders Monday, June 12 SHS Baseball Turf
Rising Grades 5th-6th Boys: 7:00 - 8:30 PM
Rising Grades 5th-6th Girls: 7:30 - 9:00 PM
Rising 7th and 8th Graders Wednesday, June 14 SHS Stadium Turf
Rising Grades 7th-8th Boys: 7:00 - 8:30 PM
Rising Grades 7th-8th Girls: 7:30 - 9:00 PM
To Register for Evaluations
Please logon to the club website (http://www.scituatesoccer.com) to register your player/players for evaluations for the 2023-2034 seasons.
- Visit the club website and from the home page select available programs available for your player
- Complete the initial registration for evaluations only. There will be no fee at this time.
- Please complete the registration questions, including whether your player will play Fall 2023 only, Spring 2024 only, or Fall 3023 + Spring 2024
- After the evaluations take place, we will notify you on steps to complete the full registration process.
If your player/players can't make the evaluation, they will still be placed on a team if they are registered for Fall 2023 and/or Spring 2023 prior to the league cutoff.
As the Coastal Youth Soccer League caps rosters for travel team, the best way to ensure your player’s/players’ participation on a team is to indicate now participation for Fall 2023 and/or Spring 2024, even if your player can't make the evaluation.
Again, everyone will play soccer, so it is more important we simply know who wants to play. If you miss evaluations, we do our best to place players based on input from current coaches.
